Park Tool BTS-1 Vintage Bottom Bracket Tapping & Facing Tool

This is the early USA made version of the Park BTS-1 tap and facing set.  It is reputed to be higher quality to the current model (which may not be made in the USA). The most obvious nicer feature is the removable handle arms that thread on to the main shaft body. The current version has welded on arms.

This set includes

• 1 x 1.370″ x 24 TPI right hand tap – English adjustable cup (part #691)
• 1 x 1.370″ x 24 TPI left hand tap – English fixed cup (part #692)
• 1 x 36 mm x 24 TPI right hand tap Italian (part #693)
• 1 x 45mm facing cutter (part #690)

From the Manufacturer: The BTS-1 is a precision tool system which provides a piloted means of tapping the threads in the bottom bracket shell of a frame. After tapping, the taps act as guides to keep the facing cutter perfectly square with the axis of the bottom bracket for cleanup of the faces of the bottom bracket shell.

Condition

Excellent lightly used condition. All threads and cutting edges sharp and ready to go.
