Retro Bike Rental in Interlaken

Rent Retro!

Yes it’s true!  All of our rental bikes are retro and vintage, meaning that they all have their own unique character and history!

But hear us out on this, there are many reasons why we chose this path for our rental bikes. Here are a few reasons why it’s a great idea to rent retro.

  1. These bikes are super fun to ride, both on the road and gravel/off-road trails.
  2. We are a vintage bike shop! We love these old timers, and our customers all seem to love them too!
  3. We love re-using and recycling wherever possible. And what better way than to keep these awesome bikes on the road, and bringing smiles to faces on a daily basis.
  4. Each of our rental bikes are hand picked with pride, meaning that each bike is different and has it’s own unique style!
  5. Our rental bikes are meticulously checked over and all of the usable parts are replaced before being assigned to the fleet. So you can be sure that your rental bike will ride safely and smoothly.

So, if you’re interested in having a lot’s of fun on the trails, staying fit, helping our planet and (lets not forget) looking radical, then welcome aboard!

Availibility

Our rental bikes are available all year round. For rentals we operate on a first-come, first-served basis. However, we do accept reservations for multiple-day rentals and for groups of four or more. If you’re planning a group outing or a special event, simply leave us a message or give us a call and we’ll be happy to assist you in your arrangements.

Rentals on closed days

On days when we are closed it may still be possible to rent bikes. Just give us a call and we will meet you at the shop if we can!

Winter Bike Rentals

During the colder months, all of our rental bikes are equipped with specialist winter stud tyres so that you can safely navigate the local trails in almost any conditions. We’ll recommend beautiful routes and can also provide insulated cycling gloves to keep your fingers toasty warm!

Yellow Velo is awesome

Yellow Velo is awesome. We rented 4 bikes and following Tommy’s recommendation we rode the Lake Brienz loop. Simply incredible. The bikes were great, in good condition and easy to ride. The staff was unbelievably friendly and helpful with their recommendations. If you are into vintage bikes, also, spend time in the shop. They have some really cool bikes from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. When back in this area, we will definitely e back and will tell others.

Yellow Velo has the best customer service!

Yellow Velo has the best customer service! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. He told us a great path that led to a beautiful lake and ice cream shop. Could not recommend this place more!

Yellow Velo has equipment in perfect condition.

Yellow Velo has equipment in perfect condition. There is no reason to rent from another shop that has older equipment. The staff is very friendly and the owner Tommy is very knowledgeable and super helpful! We were a group of 7 and all had a great experience.
